Hello all, New to this board, have been lurking for some time now.
I appreciate all the knowledge this group shares.
Just curious, anyone watch the "mythbusters" t.v. show? They did an episode using an old military truck with a snow plow blade as part of their experiment and at the end of the show they totally destroyed the truck for no purpose. Is this a shame? Don't know too much how to i.d. these trucks yet, but it was WW2 vintage with dual rear axles.
Doesn't seem a fitting end for an old warrior.
Thanks, Steve K.

It was a CCKW 353 open cab with an artic enclosure top (somewhat rare from what I understand). The truck had a lot of good parts including a wood steering wheel and they lifted it up in the air and dropped it. It crushed the cab and destroyed the truck . I generally like the show but boy would I love to have some words with them over that one. I had to laugh though because they crashed the truck into a concrete barrier and the front end looked fine afterword except for maybe a bent bumper.
