It helps when one of your buddies is a welder. Today we were able to free up the pin on the left stabilizer leg. The pin was rusted shut. So we had to grind the weld off to remove the pin assembly and use a BFH and alot of penetrating oil to work in free. After we accomplished that, we moved onto freeing the remote throttle control on the drivers side. Apparently, some time ago, someone attemtped a repair and when they reinstalled the sliding sheave, they put the weep holes facing up and water got in instead of going out and rusted the assembly shut. So out with the BFH, pipe wrench and succces a second time, so feeling lucky, we moved to the front bumper and straightened out the frame where the right front tow was previously attached. So after welding on some "dogs" a device my friend uses to line up pipe when he is welding it togather, we were able to line everything up.
So, at the end the day, it was back to my shop to sandblast and paint the metal we fixed.
It is so gratify to study a problem, figure out a fix and then see the fruits of your labor when the job is done
