My garage: Restored Old Henry, and have had this WC51 on the road around 3 years now... Currently finishing a brace of Ben Hur trailers, and starting a 67 Galaxie fastback. Concurrent with the WC I restored a 74 TR6... Oh the joys.

1945 Hercules Ben Hur Trailer For Sale- kit-

Post by ng19delta »

I am offering for sale my spare Ben Hur 1 ton trailer. This is in kit form at the moment: Fully disassembled, most parts already cleaned/stripped, new wood, new hardware, but still needs some stripping, cleaning, etc, painting, reassembly. I have two Ben Hur, but only need one. So I am offering this one for sale. $1,750.00 cash, PICK UP ONLY (unless within 100 miles, and I will deliver for cost of fuel & tolls) or I can deliver to Fastenal if you arrange for delivery & pay the freight

Includes:
New wood for bed, sides and tailgate, as well as horizontals for the racks(I forgot to order enough materials to make the verticals), and wood for the bows.(No hardware for racks beyond bolts/nuts/washers)
WWII type taillamps & mountings
WWII switch
WWII plug & cable, repro junction block
Frame, drawbars, casting & lunette, brake cables (free-up, need cosmetics), brakes, complete axle system, springs, fenders, correct wheels & tires, springs, hangers, all bed metal(front vertical reinforcement & two front end "seals" for pattern, unless I get a chance to make new ones)
Metal stock to make the spare tire holder (you will have to fabricate it, but the proper amount and materials included)
1 gal. Army Jeep Parts WWII AJP late war OD to match original paint color
NO CANVAS

Basically a 99% complete wooden Ben Hur needing final stripping of the frame and drawbar, painting & reassembly. If I do all this, the price will be in the $3,500.00 range... So I am offering it for $1,750 as it sits... EVERYTHING is disassembled, just looking for a new home.
