WTB: Dodge WC 3/4-ton 12 volt starter & parts

Post by Fred Coldwell »

Hi:

I am looking to purchase the following WW II Dodge 3/4-ton 4x4 truck 12 volt starter and parts:

1. A complete and working 12 volt starter (cranking motor) Dodge part number CC-920400 and Auto-Lite model number MAY-4132.

2. One pinon housing Dodge part number CC-959451 and Auto-Lite part number PS-1194A. This is the long cast iron "nose" of the starter that bolts onto and goes into the bell housing. It will have Auto-Lite part number "PS-1194" lightly cast into it in depression.

3. FOUND, thanks to Dozerman, one Auto-Lite part number SW-2813. :D :D

Due to the weight of these parts and high overseas shipping cots, I prefer to buy these from a seller located in the U.S.A. or Canada Please contact me by PM or email with the condition, location and price for any of these parts you have for sale. Thank you.

Thanks for the hint ... I directly bought one Autolite starter switch, too!
You'll never know when you need one, and of course I hope I never need parts which I already have as a spare.

Hello Fred and Florence,
Glad to help fellow Dodge truck enthusiasts out. Fred, That ambulance heater I bought from you back in the early 1990's is still going strong. With the duct work and blower motor I have installed in the WC-12, the cab is toasty and the windshield is frost clear. The WC series ambulance heater set up is in my opinion, the best designed set up Dodge ever installed in a WC series type truck, civilian included. Don't worry Fred and Florence, I won't be charging either one of you a "Finders fee". :

Hi Joe:

I'm glad to learn that vintage Tropic Aire heater is keeping your WC-12 tropical. It was designed to heat the whole cave in the WC-54 ambulance, so it's no sweat at all for it to make a sauna out of your tiny closed cab. Those are very nice heaters with the built in defroster outlets. I'm glad its still serving you faithfully. :D Thanks again for the tip on the AL starter switch; your help is much appreciated.
