Dodge WC52 conversion at eBay Germany

Post by 12th Air Force »

Hello Folk's

at eBay Germany is actually a strange WC52 conversion for sale. Due to the colour and a hydraulic-component add on I would guess that it is a former railroad service vehicle or some other stateside service vehicle that has been converted to a specific need.

The price tag with EUR 12,000,- is clearly "out of this space" - but I would like to know for what the need the hydraulic equipment has been added.

Any ideas??? :?:

I think that this is the steering.

12.000 is too cheap. When he want 20.000 for this crap truck, I will think about it...

My garage: Restored Old Henry, and have had this WC51 on the road around 3 years now... Currently finishing a brace of Ben Hur trailers, and starting a 67 Galaxie fastback. Concurrent with the WC I restored a 74 TR6... Oh the joys.

That thing is sad- But could get stripped down & rebuilt nicely! I'd love to have that OD plastic early wheel...

Not sure if the VW gas cap is original, however...

Oh - so it's because of this "upgrade" that it is so expensive?
