Dodge G505 WC-15 restored and For Sale

Post by Cappy »

I have just completed a 3-year frame-off overhaul and restoration of this early 1941 Dodge G505 Command Car. The project included a complete professional power train rebuild (engine, transmission, transfercase, drivelines), complete electrical system renovation (new period-correct VWoM wiring harness, professionally rebuilt generator, starter, regulator, lights), new restored fuel system (professionally rebuilt carb, new fuellines, sealed gastank) and complete brake system overhaul (all new cylindars, lines and shoes). The body was extensively reconstructed using original parts and close attention to period correct detail. The entire vehicle was disassembled, media blast, resealed with Red Oxide primer and repainted with period correct OD green #70 and original Registration numbers. The Buyer will be provided with detailed photographic records of the rebuild process and original receipts. I am listing this restored WC15 now because I have several more 1/2ton Dodges in the restoration process and must free up garage space to complete these other projects. Serious inquiries can contact me through either this website or my personal email johncappel@hotmail.com I am asking $24,000.00 for this vehicle which can be viewed in southern oregon by appointment only. The link below will provide detailed photos for those seriously interested in purchasing this restored piece of American military history.

My garage: Restored Old Henry, and have had this WC51 on the road around 3 years now... Currently finishing a brace of Ben Hur trailers, and starting a 67 Galaxie fastback. Concurrent with the WC I restored a 74 TR6... Oh the joys.

It always says it is full- best way to attach photos here is to get a (free) "Photobucket" page http:www.photobucket.com and then copy & paste the img code in your post.

Doesn't cost anything, and they host lots of pics for you...
