It is apparant that many of the CCKWs that were sent over to Europe in the 50s-60s are earlier models or earlier chassis fitted with later sheetmetal and rebuilt powertrains, this is apparant with cargo types, the special purpose CCKWs such as Machine Shop Vans, Air Compressor, and Fuel trucks appear to to remain intact.
I did witness approximately 100 CCKWs turned in by the National Guard for direct shipment to Europe in 1952, they were temporarily replaced for 18 months by Dodge 6X6 Weapons carriers. They ended up getting new M-135 and M-211 Trucks in the fall of 1953.

Now that they are finally retired in Europe, there are many nice CCKWs in the hands of collectors over there. The European collectors have an eye for detail, many of the restorations appear to have made time stand still.
