Note that it is powered by the front winch, it appears that the operator needs assistance from someone stationed at the rear. It must have been interesting if the helper was not paying attention. There as a similar boom mounted on the Cletrac aircraft Tractor.

Late in the War there appeared a Kit, "A" Frame w/installing materials (for 6x6 vehicles equipped w/winch) 41K-87-300.
