Cab gasket

Post by R Cubed »

Hi all, in the process of rebuilding my open cab I have got to the point where I need the gasket between the dash frame and the firewall cowl, is there a part number for it, or a nos or modern part which would be suitable, I have bits of the original, I would say it is canvas but it seems to be quite thin and more like cotton than canvas.

Can anyone suggest or tell me what you guys out there use.

I don't know much about your truck but this sounds like what is refered to as "anti-squeak". I have seen this sold by the roll but I cannot remember where. As a possible substitute you might use cloth impregnated with gasket sealer.
