Does any one know what one is?
There are a some grills on post war lendlease that the bar have been modified by cutting and or bending one bar of the way in order to access the drain cock, but asymetrical late CCKW radiator guards were manufactured with one bar shortened at the bottom, bent to one side and welded to the bar to the right (passenger side) of it. There are many examples of this variation on trucks here in the USofA that were surplused in the 40s-50s.
It would be nice some day to find the factory drawings for the sheet metal on the CCKW. Possibly the MVPA has the drawings in the files that TACOM turned over to them. The Drawing for the Radiator Guard will list each change and the date.
It is fun to have something to look forward to in this hobby.
