The correct front mounted winch for a Chevy 1-1/2 ton is a Gar-wood model 2-U-512. This same winch was also produced by Heil, and the parts are virtually identical, and interchange. I believe the rated capacity was 10,000 lbs. I mentioned this is the front mounted winch, and there were others used for the telephone service trucks...
