I know what a US 6 is, but what is a US 6 62?

The Studes US 6 were built in 6X6 and 6X4 configuration ( I-Beam front axle)
Could the "62" be a "wrong" reference to a non-driving front axle version?

62 refers to the wheelbase.....which in this case is the long wheelbase version of 162" So a US6 48 would be a short wheelbase truck of 148". Hope this helps.
