A bit fuzzy but I think it's...

Post by Vista52 »

No, not rear view mirrors again but the green thing on the right. I saw this a few weeks ago but couldn't find a place to stop. I took this doing 65 mph through the passenger window. I think it is a CCKW, maybe with the bed. It's in KenJ's town so maybe he knows more. :)

Looks like a CCKW to me. Or a CHEVY.

It is a truck I looked at briefly a few weeks ago. It's a Chevy 1.5 tonner with a dump bed but the previous owner said the hydraulics are missing. The seats are also missing, and the gauges are smashed.

It now resides at Dom's Towing (951) 769-1765 (PLEASE do not call him just for silly questions and drooling- he works 24-7, so serious inquiries only!).

The owner claimed it ran a year ago and won "ugliest entry" in a local parade at that time.

When I asked Dom what he was asking for it, he said $1500. I would bet he would take $1300 or even $1200 if you have cash.

Ken,

Thanks for the update. I drove by again Thursday evening really slowly and saw that it looked like a Chevy with the bed. Lets hope someone can use it.

Can anyone make out the hood number on this truck? If the first 3 numbers are 272 then it's pretty close to mine. Andy

Andy....I magnified the photo. If I had to guess I would say 372449 but it could quite as easily be 272449.

No way to know if it's a correct number or not, but here ya go (you can't magnify well due to the low file size restrictions:

Well, I messed up  ...my hood number DOES start with a 3...372746 and not a 2 as I posted earlier. (Thanks for a PM pointing that out). Sooooo...if that truck's hood number is for real, it's only 123 away from mine. I'd love to compare our dataplates (mine was built in Oakland). Andy
