CCKW C is fifor rugged waIt was in the vacuum erator Pump Circuit, compar echanical operated of the Die Cast Carburetor.
A th a Die Cast Carburetor is easier to start, especially if the CCKW has set ks.

There are two times when the vac drops and the cast iron carb gives a shot of gas:

1. When running and you want to accelerate and press down on the pedal AND
2. When you shut the engine off and it coasts to a stop.

I had an M151A2 I could not figure out why it started soooo hard and seemed to be flooded when hot till I looked into the carb when I shut it off.... :(

With the mechanical acc pump, if there is fuel in the bowl, you can inject it into the engine by pumping the pedal a couple times prior to cranking the engine.

With the vac operated cast iron carb, you cannot 'pump' raw gas into the engine unless it is running and has vacuume.
