The Ring gear for the CCKW and G-506 Chev 4X4 are the same, the GM Part No. is 838177, if your truck has original WWII components these are the proper part. I have found a quantity of these NOS at Hercano Propulsion. They are in Ohio, the owner is Jerry Biro. Phone is 740 745 1475, FAX 740 745 2475. Jerry is a straight shooter and is also a 1940s Hercules Engine specialist. His CCKW parts inventory is limited. He does have NOS CCKW 270 STD pistons, Oil Pumps, and Camshafts He prides himself in shipping correct parts, if you buy parts from him you are in expert hands as he knows his product.
