CCKW TROOP RACK HARDWARE vs M-SERIES

CCKW hardware is quite different than M-Series, it does not match the metal hardware such as the 5 Stakes and Plates oe either side that the Side Racks attach to. The seat Supports and Hinges are totally different. No M-Series hardware will match the existing bolt locations of the WWII CCKW slats and seat boards. However, one can use M-Series hardware exclusively to make up a functional set of Troop Racks. The 10 fold down braces will have to be shortened. The M-Series Hardware is quite noticeable when installed on a WWII CCKW. The Bow Corners are the same on both.

i have found that the stakes for the m211 are the same except for the fact that there is no seem in the sid eof the stake. later m series are totally different. the other bid difference is the length of the front rack and how it attaches in the corner is slightyl different

Which Stakes are you describing? Remember, I am describing what some call the stake pockets. M-211 uses the same hardware as the other M-Series and the parts do not match those used on the CCKW.

To clarify the Stakes as described in the Parts Manuals, they are listed as Stake, Intermediate, Cargo Body side rack, (left or right), assembly (includes Plate) or Stake, corner ----------------------- (includes Plate).

The Plate is the flat portion at the top with the holes, and the two upper slats attach to it.
It takes some getting used to of the lingo used in the manuals., but makes a lot of sense with experience.
