Hola,

Another question: any of you know the owner of the car with chassis number 81543909, July 7, 42, WC-53.
I would like to contact him to ask his carryall photos. It is quite possible that this vehicle is very interesting.

Why?.

All WC-53 of this year 1942, have the Sched. No. 20000-odd, but the WC-53 chassis No. 81543909 is the number 59250. I'd like to see photos of the left side of the carryall.

It is very difficult, but there is a possibility that this vehicle is one of two WC-53 Special.

Salutations, Juan

I think not.

The grille left is later.

There is another explanation, but I need more B.C. to confirm.

Build card

Post by 1000sunlight »

Hi Juan
Its 81538150. The chassis number is very feint but the truck still has the data plate on the glovebox. It looks like a '2' on the build card but its actually a 3!!!! I cant find how to attach a photo to this message.
I thought you were gong to tell me it was the first vehicle on Omaha Beach on D Day.
Best regards
Alistair

Updated the Build Card page today.
Three new Cards, thanks to Tor, Stefan and Piotr.

26.Oct.1942
29.Jun.1943
14.Feb.1944

Now there are 109 Build Cards.

Juan - thanks a lot for your offer! To be honest I think it will take some time to point-by-point comparison both lists.

Kindest regards
Sylvia

I cannot help but ask the question about the build date for my WC51, frame no: 81741448 as February 12 1945, when Brians Lohner WC51 with frame number 81751872, 10.424 units LATER, was built a month BEFORE mine, or Jan 12 1945.

Hola,

Image

What happened?

Although it seems stupid, I have an answer:

They started in 1945 by the chassis number 81750000.

When starting in February awarded a number of vehicles (approximately 500 units) chassis 81741000 to 81741500

There is an order of 556 units, may be able this. W-374-ORD-6322, registration number: 2233929 to 2234484

It is only a possibility...

Hello all, in the off-topic I wrote a short message why I was away from the Dodge forum so long.
Later today I will update the BC page, I got a few new BC in the meantime.

I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused on the Build Card thread and collection.
Thank you for your understanding and your patience.

Cheers
