License plate holders

Post by Jim M »

Have gotten to the point where my WC is street legal and have gotten tags for it. The question is where or how do you attach the license to the vehicle?
I want to keep the WC as GI as I can, but still meet the legal requirments here in California Would prefer to keep it simple, but effective
So any words of wisdom would be of great help.
Thanks in advance.

I got my front attached to grille guard and rear between bumperettes.

Jim,

We have a small angle Iron bracket on the bottom of the passenger side rear box on our WC-52 that allows our 1942 vintage plate to hang far enough down to be visible. We do not have a plate on the front. We did consider a magnetic strip to attach the plate to the front bumper and then drop it in the cargo box while on display.

Jim:

I forgot to mention, I used wire ties on the front plate. Auto Zone, and I'm sure the other parts places also, have a universal plate mount.
