Like Greg (and the abulance looks great BTW) I'm also seeing some results from my garage efforts over the last 18 months.

A neighboring city had it's 4th of July celebration yesterday, and I put the WC-51 in. We took three vets with us, one of them from WWII still fit in his Eisenhower jacket and cap! The engine nearly overheated on the five mile drive over, but it had no trouble at idle through the parade route. It was a successful trial run, and I'm looking forward to the local parade here in Centerville on the 4th.

My thanks to everyone who has answered questions and offered advice over the last 18 months or so of restoration efforts. I'm sure I'll have a lot more questions when/if I rebuild the motor this winter. (May still buy a rebuilt one if it comes available again.)

Truck looks Great!

As a side note, I have used my WC-1, 1/2 ton truck in the local Veteran's day parades, hauling WW II vets. And like you say, I had one vet that still fit in his Class A WW II uniform. They all loved the opportunity to ride in that truck. Will do it again this year!

Lookin' good! I wonder if the trouble could be the distribution tube, which if rusted out would prevent proper circulation of coolant throughout the block.

Very nice! Gives me hope in my project, when I get back to it.
Remember boys and girls, never try to remove the spare tire out of the bed of your WC without help. The results could hurt you badly!
Just ask me. I tore my left rotator cuff doing just that. On week 5 of recovery from the surgery to correct the tear

This means 5 weeks that I have not been able to work on the WC. Think that hurts more than the tear.

Those things are heavy, and its amazing how quickly one can get hurt doing things that seem perfectly mundane.
Jim, do you need a pattern for the lazy-back boards? I can pull one of mine off and trace around it.
