Which brake fluid for a WC54

Post by JimBob »

Hi,
could anybody help with finding the correct brake fluid for a WC 54 from 1943? I don't want to use the wrong kind of fluid - which kind would be the best?
Thanks and kindest Regards

If you have completely replaced the brake lines and master cylinder you might want to consider a silicon brake fluid. If you are just adding fluid to an existing vehicle, try to match what is in there. I agree that DOT 3 wpuld be fine in this case.

Thanks a lot for your fast answers!
Yes, as far as I know from the former owner master cylinder etc are replaced. Until today I couldn't reach him for a few days to ask what he used. Good luck, now I know he used DOT4.
