WC52 actual weight?

Does anyone know the exact total weight of a WC52 (late model)? There seem to be many different claims.

According to TM 9-808, the weight of the weapons carrier with winch (road weight of fully equipped vehicle without load or driver) = 5,550 lb.

If it helps I put my 51 on a certified weigh bridge to determine the English unladen weight. That is vehicle with canvas and full fuel and oil. the result was exactaly 2,400 kilogram which works to 5291 pounds plus some bits after the decimal point. Makes the winch about 219 lbs plus a bit for extra metal?

Thanks, guys. I saw weights as high as 7000lbs! I was wondering if someone actually weighed one! I am in the process of hunting for a trailer and wanted to be absolutely sure.

I bought an 18 foot trailer with 10,400 axles. Wood deck, slide in ramps. Made by Belford, sold by Lanchester Trailer, Atglen, PA. Trailer was very reasonable in price. Send me a PM with your number if you have any questions. When I pull my WC51 with my V10 Ford Excursion it is hardly noticeable. Paul
