Finishing Touches

Post by June J »

So I am putting the finishing touches to my WC 53 and have a couple of questions:

1. I have a piece of weather strip that I believe is glued to the bottom of the lift up rear door to act as a seal between the upper and lower doors, is this correct, and does it glue to the upper or lower door please?

2 I also have windlaces supposedly for the bottom of the front doors. I have the clips that push into the drilled holes along the bottom of each door, so do I ussume that once in place the windlace simply hangs down from those clips?

3 I have the ceramic antenna wire guide that goes through the antenna bracket and into the interior of the vehicle between the front and rear left side windows. The insulator is a circular "T" shape with a waisted wire clip to hold it in position. Am I right to assume that the cross of the "T" (that has the larger diameter) goes to the outside of the vehicle, and the smaller diameter section and retaining clip goes to the inside?

Thanks folks

Ian

Wow, it must be very satisfying to be so close. Do you have pics, or a photo album link? I would love to see it!
