Placement on 41 closed cab
Received a Jerry can as a gift. Where would that go on a closed cab 41?

Seen some mounted to front fenders, drivers running board, and possibly in the bed which I have never seen

They fit very neatly on the running board behind the door on the opposite side to the spare.
You can fit 2 in a row or if you don't mind sticking out past the guard by an inch you can put 2 side by side.
If you just put one on the running board (or 2 side by side)it leaves plenty of room for your foot so you can jump up to fit the canvas etc

Thanks. Thought it went behind drivers door. Does it attach to the floor board or to the truck bed?

The truck was issued before jerry cans were, so the field placement for the retro fit would be anywhere it fits and doesn't get in the way. Running board behind the door sounds about right.
