Some advise please?
On my (late) WC 57 the fuel line was routed through the chassis rail inside (or left of) the master cylinder and exiting the chassis rail just forward of the clutch pedal (with the pedal depressed). This position puts the line in danger of chaffing against the chassis rail edge, and in danger of being fouled by the clutch pedal.
On my WC 53, the line does a right turn to pass under the master cylinder push rod then skirts the 3 o'clock master cylinder mounting bolt (that bolt also holds a clamp for the line) to arrive at the rear of the steering box for the flexible hose to the bulkhead mounted fuel strainer.
I am assuming the WC 53 is correct and the WC 57 is incorrect?
Cheers
Ian

Re: Fuel Line Routing
From memory my WC51 is the same as your WC53, I'll check when I'm out there but I'm pretty sure that's the correct routing

Re: Fuel Line Routing
Finally got round to having a look at mine and it's as you say, out from the chassis under the push rod then up to the filter, only thing I would say is that if looking from the front my retainer is at the 9 o'clock position on the master cylinder not 3 but there again you're in a different time zone down there

Hi Chris,
Yep 09:00 when viewed from the front, and yes we're 12 hours AHEAD of UK time so every time we visit we have to go back in time
Cheers
