Lang,
The OKA is a neat vehicle, What is the fuel economy with the Perkins in it?

It gets around 5/6 kilometres per litre (about 14 miles per US gallon) which is the same as my old Nissan Patrol 6 cylinder turbo. Not bad for a 5 ton vehicle.
Best riding off-road vehicle ever built. Could do with more power!
Here is a short movie by the Australian Army doing some testing on the OKA. They got top rating but the company did not have the capacity to produce 2,000 vehicles so Mercedes got the contract.

That is pretty good mileage and it's large enough to tow your Jeep. My petrol powered Toyota Tacoma ( Hilux ) only gets about 18 miles per U. S. gallon. Looked like the Army was putting the OKA through it's paces.

Jim
They are only links to photos on the MLU Forum (Canadian/British/Australian military vehicles). The Youtube one should just go straight to the movie, nothing unusual there.
The problem with this forum seems to be no direct photos and only retrievable through a third party URL so I just used MLU.
The other people seem to be OK. Unfortunately I am no computer wizard. If you like feel free to email me and I will send them direct.
