Hi. I enjoy this forum quite a bit and it was time to officially sign up.
I have a 48 Power Wagon, for about 12 years now; and I have a 42 WC53 for about a year. The carryall is not drivable yet but I hope to have it running and stopping in a month or so...other projects permitting.

If the sticky database thread is still active I would like to add my WC53 to the list, but I cannot post a reply, for some reason. I have the build card and body tag, but My truck has a replacement engine from an M37, I believe.

Serial# 81584840
Body tag# 6267
Built on Nov.25, 1942
Unknown hood number, but another WC53 in the database was built on the same day. It has an estimated hood # of W20167...

Welcome, Adam! Although now living in SC, I still own a house in Vancouver. A lot of Dodge fans out there with all of the logging and farming jobs, etc. A civy power wagon is on my wish list, but man they're expensive!

Thanks. I love Washington state, it is beautiful and the people are great! I am a transplant from California because I could not stand it any longer... I know people are worried about transplants ruining their state, but I am a Army vet (Mech. Infantry), retired cop (31 yrs), own too many guns (NRA Life member), own too many cars (according to my wife), and am as conservative as it gets. I don’t bother people and expect the same. It’s funny, a lot of my California friends think Washington is too liberal... of course most of them are cops.

No kidding on the prices. I bought my 48 for $1000 and it included a 51 parts truck, which was only slightly worse condition than the 48. The Carryall was $12,000! But I was lucky to get away with only spending that. The seller had two WC53,s and a nearly completely done WC56 Command Car, which I still think about.... a fully restored M38, an awesome 5 ton, and LOTS of parts.

I will post links to my car & truck photo albums in the near future.

Welcome to Washington! I also have a WC53 that I'm working on, seemingly endlessly. I'm in Anacortes, where in WA are you? There's a few Carryall people up here. Also check : http://www.dodgepowerwagon.com for WA Carryall folks.

Wait a second. I remember your post in dodgepowerwagon.com about this site.

You still need to post some pix.

Your the guy with the carryall on the flat piece of land below your house and also a Doge Charger build?

Sorry! My name buffer is completely overloaded so I'm forever embarrassing myself on that count. I need a lot of repetition or pictures to remember. See, you're too quiet on the forums. Post more!

Hi Adam,
welcome aboard. Don't feel bad about the WC 56, I just sold my WC 57 that I had owned for 11 years, now I will focus on getting my WC 53 on the road

The Carry-Alls are an awesome looking truck!!

Cheers

San Diego to Washington? That's a bit of a culture change. What brings you up?

Hi Jim...well it was about 10 years ago that I met a Trucker and his wife on a Home Depot loading dock in Carson City NV. They were from Squim and told me about living in the NW. When I started talking to others, I was surprised at how poplar the area around Port Angeles was.

I took a trip up there myself and ending up buying a house overlooking the Straits. Now I just need to get up there more.
