Winter Ride

Post by GG »

Image
Took the CC out for a ride last week
It was about 5 degrees here in Connecticut
Today the snow is all gone but more expected tomorrow.
If we get some deep stuff I'm going out for another ride for sure.

She is kept in a heated garage.
Plus a 12 volt system spins over really fast.
Biggest thing is priming the fuel, I use the priming handle on the fuel pump to prime the carb, and she starts right up.
I would take it on the road but the State of Connecticut, uses some nasty chemicals, beside salt to keep the roads clear during the winter months.

How cool is that! Its too bad about the road chemicals. I bet it would be fun to cruise that around during the winter months.

GG- do you have a heater in your CC? And if so, is it effective?

Sorry
No heater and it was cold.
Canvas doors kept out the wind some what.

Wow, that looks stunning.

I guess you get real sick of the snow real fast though eh?

We are getting 85 to 90 degrees F at the moment, and it has only ever snowed here in New Plymouth once in living memory :)

Ian
The snow is all gone now.
Had a January thaw.
If the last two rain events were snow instead of rain I would have been buried.
Total of 3 inches of rain, with a ratio of 1 inch of rain averages about 10 inches of snow, glad it was rain.
Still early in the season I will get more snow & my wish for a deep snow ride.

I had heaters front and rear in my last WC57. was great. they don't salt much out here so drovee year round. these trucks are more likely to start in the extreme cold than many newer vehicles. I have seen them running around in 40 below F, 80 below windchill
