Transportation needed

Post by Wolfen »

I need to have a WC63 that starts, runs, drives, and stops, transported from Santa Barbara CA, to Woodburn OR 97071 starting Nov 18. I am willing to share the ride, and am willing to wait for up to 7 days for delivery. The current owner, will be available to help load.

My garage: Restored Old Henry, and have had this WC51 on the road around 3 years now... Currently finishing a brace of Ben Hur trailers, and starting a 67 Galaxie fastback. Concurrent with the WC I restored a 74 TR6... Oh the joys.

I bought a WC63. Unfortunately, I'm not having much luck with getting it hauled to my place. I tried U-SHIP, but only got one bid. I need it transported from Santa Barbara CA, to Woodburn OR. The WC63 needs to be picked up on NOV 18 2017. I am willing to share the ride and be flexible on the delivery date to save money. The WC63 runs, drives, and stops. Here's a video on YOUTUBE of the previous owner driving it.https://youtu.be/l3dzU2LO6A0 Watch "DODGE WC 63 WW2 6X6 MILITARY VEHICLE" on YouTube

Santa Barbara, my old stomping ground! Brings a tear to me eye it does.

Grab you cell phone, tool kit, ice chest, water jug & bad weather jackets then go down there and drive it home. What an adventure it would be! Does it come with canvas?

I'm jealous just thinking of it!

It does come with a complete set of canvas. Unfortunately, me driving it home is not a option. I just started a new started driving.job, and don't have any vacation time. It would probaly take three days by the time I flew down there and

Warning! Do not do Business with Robert Gordon in Santa Barbara CA. He will not honor his deals and suddenly change things. I had shipping arranged, but he suddenly changed the availability of the WC63 I was trying to buy from him which drove up the shipping cost. He was unwilling to reduce his price to reflect the price increase.

what do you mean by "changed the availability"? as in he couldn't be there that day for a shipper?

The local news just did a piece on him showing the truck.

He said that the truck would be available Nov,13.2017. My shipper contacted him about picking it up on 11/14/2017. He suddenly says that it can only be picked up on weekends. When I confronted him about his lie, he took the truck off the market. My shipper was willing to pick up the truck during the week from 5:00am-8:00pm but RG wasn't willing. My shipper, needed to pick up the truck during the week not on weekends. The sudden change, meant that I would have had to start the USHIP auction all over again and pay hundreds more in shipping cost. He wouldn't lower his price to make up the difference in shipping cost. Add to that, the fact that he had raised the asking price by $4500.00 after doing some work on it. It was the straw that broke the camels back. Thanks to him and the other people out there who have ripped me off or tried to rip me off on MV's, I am no longer in the market for a MV. I will take the money I would have spent on a MV and invest it for my retirement.

If I had known the weekend part I have a friend in Santa Barbara that could have picked up the truck and held it for a few days.

To late now. Like I said, the truck is no longer for sale. He just needed to be up front about the weekend pickup only.
