Am in need of some information that I can not find. What is the size of the "bridge plate" for a WC 51? Is it a 6 inch or 9 inch plate? And then what is the size of the number in the center of it?
I know that the plates were done on a yellow, with black number(s). But have no idea for the correct sizing.
Thank you all in advance.

Bridge plate question
proud owner of a 1942 WC 51 and now a 1942 WC 56!
Bridge Plate Size
All the WC51's in the ETO I have seen used a 9 inch plate with a 6 inch high number. My WC 51 with 84th Inf Div markings has the 9 inch plate mounted above the bumper on the right side. The brackets for the bridge plate can be attached with the top right bumper bolts so no drilling is necessary. I did see several ambulances using a 6 inch plate mounted on the radiator grill.
