VC3 - VC4 Questions MORE -and thanks to all who replied !

Post by mvdude »

First off, the truck is not in Florida yet. I hope to have her home to
Panama City in July. It dooes need full restoration, but has the T202 engine.

What it needs:

Rear fenders, rotten ones on the truck.
The correct wheels
VC Reaf end
and lots of love and affection.

More Questions... The 1 ton rear end... Sounds like we don't know what the ratio is. Could it be 4.89 ?

I believe the front axle is original. The family has had the truck for 40 years and the rear was swapped in the 70's. The fron axle hubs look different than half ton wc hubs.

The rest of the body is all complete, but the front fenders are a little
banged up. Not too bad though. Has the grill, tailgate, bed, runningboards, rear bumperettes and pintle. Has the seat.

I will post photoos when I complete the purchase.

Thanks to all !!

Bob:

I'm not for sure, but the rear end is probably a 5:83 or somethin like that.
