Cable size and lenght on a CCKW ? ? ?
What dia of cable and what lenght was used on a CCKW. My winch is empty and I just found several rolls of unused cable for sale ???

From my memory it is 1/2inch diameter and 300 feet long. Other fellows may confirm...

Definitely 1/2" diameter. The original cable used had a hempen string up the centre. I can't find the reference at the moment but I'm sure that 300 feet is correct for the length. You will have to wind it on carefully to get it all on. A birds nest won't do.
