Pre-WWII Oil Filter Elements?

Opinions welcome! Comes wrapped in kraft paper in box with what looks to me like pre-WWII style type-face. Box marked 8E-10 (maybe more was worn off) and Mtr. Tspt. No.2. These are brand new, and the only deficiency I can see is the enclosed ring gasket, which was up against the side of the filter body, left a mark. They look about the right size for a jeep oil filter, but I haven't had time to go open mine up and look at it to see if it is same size. They are also stamped AC Kleer Kleen. Price is $15.00 plus shipping. I take paypal.

As it is an AC product it could be for the small filters used on GMC type army trucks of the late 30's/early 1940's - Think the GM part number for them is 853472 - Maybe some one can cross this number to yours.

That's interesting. There were some other GMC parts with these when I got them, but they were late 1950's pieces. I didn't think they went together, as there were MB/GPW and Dodge parts with the pile.
