Windshield G506 Question

I have 3 windshield frames, all came from 1 1/2 ton G506 Chevy trucks. A 1941, a 1944, not sure of
year for 3rd frame. The first two frames have the side pivot arm brackets, but the 3rd has none

It does not even have the two drilled holes to mount the pivot bracket. It does have the two upper
windshield pivots and the lower center clamp (windshield to dash).

My question - Did at some point during WWII were the side pivot arms eliminated
