Anyone know the factory type set for a 42 1.5 Chevy. Anyone have pictures?

I think the registration numbers were placed on by the military after acceptance so, from the factory, there would be no numbers.

From what evidence I have seen , at least with Dodges and certainly with Sheman tanks, the Reg. numbers were factory applied. They were assigned buy the Gov. contract and applied by the factory usually in blue drab and there does seem,in many cases, to be manufacturer specific fonts.
Sorry but I can't help with the one specific for Chevys, you might try over at G503.com

The Chev used the same 4" GM font as CCKW for the first couple years of WWII before changing to 2".
I had my local sign shop come real close. They have to make adjustments to a standard 4" pattern to get the GM look. Mine came out pretty good and looks nice in TM9 Blue Drab on my 1941 CCKW SWB. It still needs slight tweaking, but is stored on the sign shopos computor and will be tweakedagain when the NOS hood is painted and installed in the spring.
There are enough good closeup WWII photos of new trucks to use as reference.

Rick Larsen Military Stenciles has several WW II style stencle sets. I think I will order a set

I have used Rick's paint masks on the last 3 restorations. If you take your time and follow his direction you will do fine.
