Finally... After a complete sandblasting of the exposed truck frame and all components, and a good coat of primer and O.D. the bed was ready to be installed. Replaced some leaking seals in the T-case and rear pumpkin while I had access.
Here it is...

As you can see, its a might nicer now! I got one coat of O.D on it, but I can see the primer showing thru in a few places (funny how the pictures show this where as I thought it had pretty good coverage!)
Notice the small brackets, wood blocks, etc I had to fabricate. Still not on the truck are the frame to rear bed supports. Waiting for the paint to dry, then they go on tommorow...still gotta put on the tailgate chains and brackets too...
Then a new set of rear tailights, route the wiring and clamps, add the reflectors, put back on the spare tire carrier and I am done.. for now anyway.
Dave
Anyway, its on... And I am glad for it.. It was a long road to get here..
Well, the bed is now done and on the truck!!

That's a Chevy 1 1/2 tonner, yes? Where does the spare tire go? What will you be doing for the mud flaps?

Yes... its a 1 1/2 ton chevy G506.
Spare tire, under bed on drivers side of truck. I still havent mounted that yet.
I have the original mud flaps and braces. Havent used them in years, niot sure if Ill put them on or not. I sorta like the look WITHOUT them.
Not selling them however..
