A RANGER MOTOR POOL MOMENT IN HISTORY

Post by RANGER »

RANGER's CCKW 352, will soon celebrate it's 69th Birthday. Time has been good to this a WWII us Army veteran which ended its military career in 1982 with the Danish Army.
It is presently living out it's life as a stud planting the seed for others to follow when restoring a quality WWII MV.

HO JO's is the favorite watering hole, May's the date.
Gonna try to get my friend Bill Knight to be there. Bill traveled the road by HO Jo's many a time on the way to the Dow Field Ammo Dump and Base supply. He was one of the first permanent party at Dow, and drove a CCKW from Ft Lee Virginia to Dow in June 1941. The base was still under construction and he was assigned to the Quartermaster Corps.

This is my 50th non stop year of servicing MVs since graduating Wheeled Vehicle School in the US Army in 1960. The training was excellent and has contributed to 47 straight years of MB, M-38, M-38A1, M-37, M-35, and CCKW operation without a boost or breakdown.

The moral to this story, do not take advice from anyone that cannot spell Vacuum.
