Door lock #2

OK, go the rear door lock off my WC-54.

I do not have a key for it and bizarrely, an H700 does not fit. But I can get a locksmith friend to make up a key.

Question is, does the square shaft at the end of the lock sit rigidly, or is there some play in it? It appears to sit in what I thought was a ball and socket, but now I think that could be where the square shaft has sheared off - otherwise I cannot see how the lock could work.
