Rick has really done a job on Bess, using best available companies, personnel, equipment, and spare parts. As the only known surviving example she is probably worth it.

Well, good for him!
When I was a younger man a group of Brits came over to California's State Railroad Museum and gave a presentation on the restoration of what I remember as being the "Flying Scotsman"(?) steam locomotive (1989?); very organised and knowledgeable men.
