Wouldn't it be nice to have one of these with all the tools - I have the back 2ft of one of these truck's chassis with bumperettes - might be a big job to restore one from that bit.
I should have the manual for this truck. I do not see it but will bump into it somewhere. I used it to help Dr Bennett locate part numbers and items when restoring his truck 25 years ago.

Appears to be an add on, note the paint shade difference. Maybe the Trip Tickets are kept in it.

GMC AFKX-352, Ordnance had several versions from Instrument Repair, Welding, Machine Shop, etc, there were several versions equipped for various Ordnance purposes. They made a couple thousand of these between 40-42. Frank Buck had a nice one 10 years ago and offered it for 17 Grand.
