It was equipped with a Wrecker Boom and a 5th Wheel for salvaging wrecked Aircraft in conjunction with 25 and 40 Ft Low Bed Trailers.
It was replaced starting in 53-54 by the M-246 5 ton 6X6 Tractor-Wrecker with special boom and long wheelbase.
