Hello everyone...

I need to get a new distributor cap. The tag on my distributor is in pretty rough shape, but I think it identifies as an Autolite IGC 4707.

I'm having a hard time trying to figure out what modern-day distributor cap would go with this distributor. My best guess is an AL96.

But that is just my guess. Can anyone confirm this or provide me with better info?

According to the Dodge WC parts catalogue, the distributor part number is CC-643822. If you google that part number you'll get quite a few hits.

Supposedly the following caps should fit:

Autolite 3-23 and IGC-1107S
Niehoff AL90
Napa/Echlin AL63
Standard Motor Products AL96
Delco D-301
P&D AU-102
Filmography AL104
Borg Warner C123
Guaranteed Parts AL83
NORS AL96

I found a NOS Niehoff AL90 and Echlin AL63. Both caps fit. I also have a new Standard Motor Parts AL96. This might be a cheap part that quality control missed- the cap fits, but I can only manage one of two clips to secure.
