Master cylinder steel nipple

Post by PareosWC »

I'm surprised that a steel nipple was used at the end of the slope-top cylinder on the WC. It seems to me that brass would have been a better fit? In using all new lines, cylinders, and MWM Master, I have a slight weep from the nipple outlet that screws into the MC.

Teflon tape isn't a stop gap, but I would rather not go any tighter?

might be the threads in the new MC. I believe they are all made in china now...
Brass is nice but in an awkward spot like that I would prefer an iron or steel fitting. more durable when trying to remove in the vehicle
