Been a while since I worked on my WC58
Time to do a few things that I did not do when I was in a rush to get it back on the rode.
Ie
Install the rear glass window.
Install the new Junction box
Sand blast, prime, paint and install CH74 Cabinet.
Check brakes and rebleed them, since its been a while.

PS work is over rated anyways and since my civil engineering and land surveying business is only doing ongoing construction project per government orders may as well have some fun, and get paid by the government for doing it.

Wow, that is one nice Command Car; great work!

I am also busier than a one legged cat on an ice patch, with household stuff, but I will soon start back on my Carryall.

Ahh, if only you could get that Command Car registered as a company car for essential work, you could enjoy the heck out of it.

I'm not doing anything at all, my trucks are over a hundred miles away, but doing nothing for extended periods of time is proving remarkably easy. Stay healthy everyone.

There shouldn't be any. All WC56, 57, 58 were built the same with 12 volt systems, radio power box, and mountings. I think the only real difference was the rear map table and so on had to be removed

My CC had holes for three different locations over years before I got it.
I used the set which placed the radio in the center, and about one inch towards the rear, making entry from both rear doors a lot easier.
Map Table is still limited to only straight up, map box is still usable, with BG-96 cover.
CH74 cabinet will render them all use less.
TM11-2715 has something about a reinforcing bar as part of MC-471 Adapter Kit but I cover never find any details about the bar.

I think Gordon is correct, just use the existing mounting plates built into the floor and everything will work just fine.
What I did do was gut the entire radio system of all interior parts leaving only the exterior shell which reduced the weight by many pounds.
Had no one to talk to with the SCR508.
But I did install a CB radio inside so now I have a lot of active channels.

@ Gordon: Yes Gordon, I understand what you mean and I know that. But my thinking is, that the complete radio with CH-74-A and FT-285 table is so heavy, that I thought there must be some reinforcement plates or another construction under the thin body ground panel. Not only a little washer for each bolt.

@GG: Thanks for the photos. And yes, same problem on my side. MC-471 Adapter Kit says something about reinforcement plate and bar. And there is specially a reinforcement bar for the FT-285. But I cover never find any details about the bar, too.
