Brake & Fuel Tube Routing

I'm installing new brake and fuel tubing in my WC-21 military half ton. The old ones were gone when I got the truck.

At the frame cross-member just in front of the gas tank, do the tubes go through the holes in the cross member or under it?

I really don't remember Don, and wouldn't want to give wrong advice.

There have to be some illustrations somewhere in the manuals or on the 'net
