Several years ago, I purchased a 1942 Dodge WC 56 Command Car with hopes of restoring it as I had done with my !942 Dodge WC 51.
CC was built in July 1942—have build card for it-- as a -56 but had wench added making it a -57. Only major drawback is the lack of brakes. These had been purchased and was going to put on when my friend passed away and left me with out location/tools/talent to do the work myself.
To the best of my knowledge CC is solid and was running strong when parked. Would like to ask $8000 for it. CC is located in So Cal and do have CA title for it

Hey Jim,
I know that feeling, I recently sold my beloved WC57 after 11 years of wonderful fun, but at least it sold locally and I still have visitation rights.
