I am wondering what the weight of a CCKW axle is? Obviously the front one is the heavier of the two. I have a friend with a pair of beautifully clean ones that I want to save from the scrap guys and the monster truck guys also and make sure they end up in a WW2 vehicle.
I'll need to move them though so just wondering if anyone has some weight numbers? I am guessing around 450# for the front?

I'd guess a little heavier. about 500 for the rear and 6-700 for the front but that's just from moving some around. If there is only one rear I'd also guess they are from a Chevy 4x4 rather than the CCKW which would have 3 axles.
