Hi folks,
I am ready to get windows installed in the lift up rear door on my WC 53 Carry-All. I'm pretty sure I have it clear in my mind how they should be installed I'm not so sure about the glazier. Could someone either post or PM a close up detail of the installed window(s) please. I have the rubber and support clips but want to be sure I get it right.

G.Day Ian . If an Aussie can get it right ,you should be able also : . Just make sure that the join{off rubber } is at the bottom of the glass . There is 4 clips on the inside , the holes should be there .Also use some sika to seal the rubber to the frame . To keep water out . If i can do it , so can you . Ray

I'm not familiar with the WC53 rear glazing but as an ex windscreen fitter who worked in the trade back in the days of windscreen rubbers I can give a little advice....don't use Sikaflex or any other form of sealant that sets, you need to seal between rubber and body along the top edge and half way down the sides and rubber and glass on the bottom edge and half way up the sides using a non setting windscreen sealer if such a thing is available nowadays

I bought mine and it had no windows or rubber rings in the back. I was able to take it to a auto glass shop and they were able to do them no problem.

I've only ever seen that type of overlap rubber used in the back windows of Carryalls.

It is difficult to get it wrong or it will just fall out. When they are firmly in place, put a tiny amount of sealant round the glass to rubber AND rubber to metal joints on the outside for extra protection.

Old bearings out Ian and new ones have just arrived but I've had to down tools for a while as it's a busy time of the year for me.......to be resumed soon!
