WTB Frame/Chassis extensions for winch adaption

Post by June J »

Hi folks,
looking for a chassis extension kit for a 3/4 ton WC, and winch bumpers if possible. I want to fit a winch to my WC 53.

Cheers

Midwest Military has new extensions that you need to accomplish this task.

John at Midwest Military is only one of two military vehicle dealers I can say I could buy something from with 100% confidence.....the other dearer sadly has died.

I go along with that.
I first met Sid at an MVPA convention in Portland, Oregon. I was on my way to commence a European holiday and was reluctant to spend money although tempted by some items he had on his stand. He told me to take the items and pay him after I got back home.
I dealt with him for years after that and still grieve his loss. One of the finest men I've ever met.

Sid was a true gentleman, every time I went down to his place in Victoria he insisted on taking me and my kids to eat a hamburger at his favorite rural eatery. Can't say how many times he sent parts before payment. I bought my Ben Hur from him and while I was stationed in England I saw he had a data plate listed on Ebay, when he saw I wanted it he pulled it and sent it to me! He is missed.

As you know, I have a winch on my Carryall.

I think you can look at a winch model Weapon Carrier or Command Car and figure a way to make the extensions yourself, Unlike a half ton where the extensions have complicated curves the 3/4 is pretty straight. There are pictures out there of the bolt-on field kit extensions to get you going.

You will then need the rest of the hardware if you don't have the stuff from a Weapon Carrier. The local tractor place can supply a good power take-off shaft and universals of the correct size.

Hi Lang,
I still have my command car in my garage so I will take some photos and get some dimensions. I also have a buddy in Wellington who has a WC 56 with an adapter kit so I have some good opportunities to get the info I need.

Cheers
