My garage: Restored Old Henry, and have had this WC51 on the road around 3 years now... Currently finishing a brace of Ben Hur trailers, and starting a 67 Galaxie fastback. Concurrent with the WC I restored a 74 TR6... Oh the joys.

Here is a simple tool question: Will the lug wrench for a WC-51 fit the wheel mounting nuts on a Ben Hur trailer? I know they both have Budd nuts- But are they the same size?

Thanks!
Scott

short answer is yes.
All budd lug nuts are the same wrench size, whether front or outer dual hex nuts. Then of course is the budd inner dual nuts with the square head.

Sort of yes

The 3/4 ton Dodge item is hex by hex - big end for wheel nut, small end for rim nut.

The equivalent Budd wrench for the GMC and Ben Hur is hex by square - the same large hex at one end, but the other end is square for the inner / outer dual nut.

Thanks guys- I knew about the "hex by hex/hex by square" issue: I was mainly concerned with the size. Sounds like it will work!

Thanks!

I think the half ton WC might be hex by square too, so it would be the same as the GMC one.

All made by Budd, I think
