I've never had a problem with the Chrysler musuem in UK. In fact they were very helpful and searched to find if they had records before asking me to send the cash. Reply was very prompt and I now know to get my WC54 a Seventyith birthday card on 24th October.

update:
i'm started to disassemble the dodge.
after that zinc blasting and metalizing the parts :)

after that epoxy enpolyurethaan paintlayer and than OD paint :)
will cost a bit extra but better doing it good the first time.

any tips on how to lossen the screws of the spacers in the bed easy?
seems most of them feel good in their place after living there for 70+ years

Actually, I have found Dodge bolts & such, unless rusted beyond recognition, actually don't mind coming apart after 70+ years! Just a little effort, and they break loose quite nicely. Must have to do with the protective coatings or something Dodge used.

most of the bolts are indeed not that hard.

I just sold my KD-64 (its now in Texas). Like you, I didn't know what I'd bought until the trucking company delivered it (I'd bought it out of Oregon). But it was modified with a modern Chevrolet V-8 and had an International bed, and converted to 12 volt. There is a neat KD websight that you need to connect to. Most of the KD's are missing the ambulance bodies, as they were not popular with the various governments that ended up with them, and less popular with the civilian owners. So, I have a feeling that "the parts" are going to be nigh impossible to find. I know of some collectors that have spent years looking.......and only found a few parts.
But.....I wish you good luck........in the meantime, enjoy it.
